The beat generation is used for youngsters that were highly affected by the famous Beatles single, Love Me Do that was released on 24. October in 1962. In 1963 the popular band released their first ever album and had many live shows including TV gigs and national tours. The beatmania begun.

Beatles brought a new sound, however, they also managed to inspire young people to think different and dress different. The main aspect was youth. Teenagers found unity through music, they marched on streets, dressed alike and subcultures were born.

Each subculture differs in looks, however they are all celebrations of youth and the idea that a union of youngsters can make a change in the future. This was the case with the beat generation as well.
