All families are different. Traditions, customs, modern ideas are all present during Christmas preparations. The point is however, undeniably the value and the quality of the time spent together, bounded by love. Szputnyik shop has prepared a Christmas surprise for its followers this year, as usual. They shot an exciting Christmas editorial, showing their ever-innovative spirit.
This time they present an exciting fusion with the styling of Márk Kiss, they have summoned the iconic atmosphere of carnivals with a dash of steampunk. The present time decadence of the outfits is what Wanda Martin photography artist, currently working and living in London, has tried to capture. She spoke highly of the final result:
’’I was very happy when they asked me to do the job, I have always felt connected to the ’vintage world’ and the spirit of Szputnyik shop – both in my works and in my personal style. The project and its concept have won me over, since I have been fascinated by the circus as a subculture, with its very own carachters and its surreal, construced mini-reality eversince my teenage years. I was very excited about working on such an inspiring editorial, despite the fact that my previous works are very different.’’
The fictive but overwhelmingly creative universe, brought to life by the editorial portrays many legendary carachters, as Anna Pásztor (Anna and the Barbies), Izsak Palmer and Gabi Knoll singers. The Holiday Szputnyik shop circus performance has a clowngirl, modern daystrongmen and the ringmen to dazzle the audience with their skills and of course, looks. You do not have to getenvious about the latter, since all the outfits and accessories can be found at our stores alongside with countless exciting contemporary and vintage pieces waiting to be gift wrapped.
